OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
If you have already set up your email account for SaturnaCAN, the following information will help you troubleshoot your SaturnaCAN email account in Apple's "Mail" program. If you use a different email host such as Telus, Shaw, etc., you can follow this guide and input the email server settings specified by your email host.
1. Once you've launched "Mail", click on the menu item "Mail" and select "Preferences."

2. Click on the "Accounts" icon. The window contains three tabs, "Account Information, "Special Mailboxes," and "Advanced."
Click on the "Account Information" tab. Your settings should look like the illustration below. (Notes: The "Description" box can have whatever description you want, for example, "Saturnacan POP Account." Your "User Name" is the first part of your email address (and also your login name). The "Full Name" should be the name you want to appear on your outgoing emails.
3. When you're finished, click on the "Server Settings" button at the bottom of the screen.

4. The "Outgoing Mail Server" window will pop down. Fill out the information as in the illustration below and then click "OK." NOTE!! If you are on dial-up the "Outgoing Mail Server" should be smpt.telus.net rather than saturnacan.net. The "Server port" is normally 25 but if your email host has given you a different port number, change it in this window.

5. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure that "Enable this account" is checked. The other check box settings are your choice.

6. Click on the "Mailbox Behaviors" tab and choose your options.

7. Click the red "Close" button at the top left of the "Accounts" screen. Your account is now ready to use.
